Empower Fatherless Boys with AZ Quail Today: Your Support Can Make a Difference

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you on behalf of AZ Quail Today, an organization dedicated to educate and encourage the next generation of quail hunters!

One way we do this by empowering fatherless boys through educational hunting experiences!

In collaboration with our Fathers in the Field program, we strive to provide these young boys with the opportunity to learn essential upland hunting skills. Together we are helping fill the void left by the absence of a father figure in their lives, a reality faced by 50% of children in our country.

Our program is designed to foster stronger relationships between these boys and their mentor fathers through shared hunting experiences. In my role, I serve as a guide, coach, pastor, and advocate, adapting to the unique needs of each boy and mentor.

We offer a comprehensive educational experiences that includes hunter’s education through the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The boys learn about habitat, conservation, ethics, gun safety, and more. They also get hands-on experience hunting live birds on a game preserve, cleaning and preparing game, understanding dog training basics, and learning about Arizona’s habitat and quail species.

Our ultimate goal is to use these educational experiences to strengthen the bond between the boy and his mentor father, preparing him for a lifetime of outdoor adventures.

Currently, we are working with the founder of Fathers in the Field to identify churches throughout Arizona that can provide mature men to serve as mentors.

However, to continue and expand our services, we need your support.

Our 2024 Budget Requests are as follows:

  • $3,500 for a corporate membership to Desert Creek Sportsman for live bird training.
  • $1,500 for marketing merchandise, including AZ Quail Today hats and shirts for mentor fathers and boys in our program.
  • $1,000 for an annual fuel stipend to offset costs for hunting, training, and scouting trips.
  • $1,000 for technical support, including audio editing for podcasts and website development.
  • $1,000 for a membership at Ben Avery Clay Target Center for shotgun training.
  • $1,000 for complimentary ammunition.
  • $750 for administrative, legal, and accounting expenses.
  • $250 for food, snacks, and supplies for day trips.

The total budget request for 2024 is $10,000.

We kindly ask you to consider making a tax-deductible gift to help with any or all of these costs. Your contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of these boys, providing them with the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in the great outdoors.

Thank you for considering this request. Your support can change lives and create a positive impact on the future of these boys.

Happy Hunting,

Ryan Rice
