What’s Happening Now – March 2013
Things are looking good out on the desert. Most all the country through the central and north-central parts of the state have a great green-up going on. In certain areas a bloom has already started. In the past, it seems that when we have a good bloom on the desert, we end up with a good quail hatch.
Ben Smith of Az Wanderings has posted a Q5 Upland Bird Vest review! Check it out…azwanderings.com/rambling-review-the-q5-bird-hunting-vest.
The Southern Arizona Quail Forever Chapter has scheduled a meeting and details are on their website: www.southernarizonaquailforever.com.
The Valley of the Sun Quail Forever Chapter has scheduled a meeting – be sure to attend and give them much needed support and encouragement. Here’s some information:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I hope you enjoyed last weekend’s ISE show!
We had an incredible show and I want to be the first to thank y’all for stopping
by our booth to show your support and interest for our organization.
As we mentioned, we’re a newer organization within Arizona, but we have
huge plans – habitat management (specifically enhancing and increasing water
storage for birds and mammals alike), youth hunting introduction, and just
being a group of like-minded people getting together and having fun – either
volunteering or hunting.
As previously mentioned, our goal is to start rotating meeting around the
Valley, but for now we’re meeting at our normal haunt in March.
March 13th @ 5:30pm @ RT O’Sullivans (1610 South Stapley Drive in Mesa).
I hope you see there there!
RSVP is, of course, not required, but if you plan to join, I’d love to hear from
you in advance so we can watch for ya.
