What’s Happening Now – February 2013
Sure was good to see the big, soaking rain that took place statewide in the last week. Things are really beginning to green up in most of the state, and if the rains continue into February and March, an “ok” hatch is more and more a possibility. There are quite a few carryover birds in some areas, and, as a matter of fact and as has been stated in prior updates, if a guy gets out and works at it, there are areas that, even now toward the end of the season, have enough quail to keep you busy most of the day. But it will take time and footwork, especially in these years when birds are so spotty.
