What’s Happening Now – July 2012
The summer rain season, at this point in time, looks favorable for a Mearns’ quail hatch to occur in the southeast part of the state. As of this writing, great rains have also occurred in the Nogales area. Of course, we have several more weeks to see what develops. This is the first in several years that things are beginning to look up for at least an average Mearns’ quail hatch.
Don’t forget about the new Quail Forever chapters that started in Arizona. Quail hunters, whether resident or non-resident, have a great opportunity here to have a voice and make a positive impact for the future of Arizona’s quail hunting. At this time, we only have a link to the new Southern Arizona Chapter of Quail Forever – www.southernarizonaquailforever.com Please go to their website and join now!
